Overview

XMRPriced is a browser extension that displays approximate Monero (XMR) equivalents next to USD prices on webpages. The extension operates entirely locally in your browser and is designed with privacy as a core principle.

Data Collection

XMRPriced collects **no personal data** from users. Specifically:

• No personally identifiable information (name, email, IP address, etc.) is collected.
• No browsing history, page content, keystrokes, mouse movements, or user activity is recorded.
• No data is sent to any third-party servers except for a public, unauthenticated API call to CoinGecko to retrieve the current XMR/USD exchange rate.
• The only temporary data stored is the exchange rate in chrome.storage.local for caching purposes (to reduce API calls and enable offline fallback). This data is not tied to any user identifier and is cleared when the extension is removed.

Permissions Used

• <all_urls>: Required to detect and overlay prices on any webpage containing USD values.
• storage: Used only to cache the public exchange rate locally.

Third Parties

The extension makes one read-only request to the public CoinGecko API[](https://api.coingecko.com/api/v3/simple/price?ids=monero&vs_currencies=usd) to fetch the current XMR/USD rate. No authentication, personal data, or tracking parameters are sent. No other third-party services are used.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated in the future, the version number and date will be revised, and the change will be noted on this page.

XMRPriced does not and will not sell, share, or transfer any user data.
